Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

The Legend Fishing Adventures respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we may share it, and the choices available to you when you visit our website, contact us, or request or reserve a fishing charter.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website, online forms, booking system, email communications, telephone calls, text messages, and other interactions with The Legend Fishing Adventures.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Information You Provide Directly

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Preferred charter date and alternate date
  • Number of guests
  • Preferred boat, trip length, or captain
  • Fishing experience, group type, and trip goals
  • Information about children joining the charter
  • Existing reservation or confirmation details
  • Questions, special requests, and other information included in a message
  • Permission to share an unavailable-date request with a trusted partner captain
  • Information submitted through our contact, inquiry, and booking forms

Booking and Transaction Information

When you reserve a charter, we may collect information related to your selected service, boat, date, time, deposit, reservation status, and payment confirmation.

Payment-card information may be collected and processed directly by the payment provider used during checkout. We do not intentionally store complete credit-card numbers on our website.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser and device type
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and referring website
  • Date and time of access
  • Approximate geographic region
  • Cookie and website-usage information
  • Information used to detect spam, fraud, or security threats

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Respond to questions and charter inquiries
  • Help you select a boat, trip length, or captain
  • Check availability and process reservation requests
  • Manage deposits, payments, confirmations, changes, and cancellations
  • Communicate important information about your trip
  • Contact you regarding weather, marine conditions, scheduling, or safety
  • Assist with an existing reservation
  • Coordinate requests for a preferred captain
  • Refer an unavailable-date request to a trusted partner captain when you provide permission
  • Improve our website, services, customer experience, and marketing
  • Measure how visitors find and use our website
  • Prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity
  • Maintain business and transaction records
  • Comply with applicable legal, tax, regulatory, and safety obligations

3. Charter Inquiries and Reservations

Submitting a contact or charter-inquiry form does not by itself reserve a boat, captain, date, or time. A reservation is confirmed only after the booking process has been completed and accepted.

Reservation information may be processed through a booking platform used on our website.

4. Captain Requests

You may request Captain Jimmy Laidler or Captain Brian Middleton when submitting an inquiry. Captain preferences are welcomed but cannot be guaranteed. Captain assignments may depend on availability, boat scheduling, trip type, weather, and operational requirements.

When you select a preferred captain, the inquiry may be sent to the requested captain and to our main booking office so the request can be reviewed and answered.

5. Unavailable Dates and Partner Captains

If your preferred date is unavailable, you may choose to allow The Legend Fishing Adventures to share relevant inquiry information with a trusted partner captain who may have availability.

We will only make this type of referral when you provide permission through the form or otherwise authorize us to do so.

The information shared may include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address and telephone number
  • Your requested date or alternate dates
  • Your group size
  • Your preferred trip length
  • Your fishing goals or special requests

A referral does not guarantee availability and does not create a reservation. A partner captain may contact you directly and will be responsible for explaining that captain’s own pricing, terms, services, and privacy practices.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Our owners, captains, crew, and authorized staff
  • A requested captain
  • Trusted partner captains, but only when authorized or otherwise appropriate to fulfill your request
  • Website hosting and technical-service providers
  • Email-delivery and communications providers
  • Payment processors and booking platforms
  • Spam-prevention, CAPTCHA, fraud-prevention, and security providers
  • Analytics, mapping, and embedded-content providers
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, attorneys, and insurers
  • Government agencies or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect safety, rights, or property

Service providers are permitted to use information only as necessary to provide their services or satisfy applicable legal obligations.

7. Telephone Calls, Emails, and Text Messages

When you provide your telephone number or email address, we may use it to respond to your inquiry, discuss availability, communicate about a reservation, provide trip instructions, or address a customer-service matter.

Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may ask us to stop sending nonessential text or email communications at any time.

We do not use your consent to an inquiry response as automatic permission to enroll you in unrelated promotional campaigns.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate correctly, remember preferences, prevent spam, understand website use, and improve performance.

Cookies may include:

  • Essential cookies: needed for website functions, security, forms, and reservations
  • Functional cookies: used to remember preferences or support embedded features
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand website traffic and visitor interaction
  • Marketing cookies: used only when advertising or remarketing services are enabled

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may prevent portions of the website, booking system, forms, maps, or other features from working properly.

Our website may use analytics services to understand traffic and improve the visitor experience. These providers may collect device, browser, cookie, usage, and approximate-location information.

Pages may also include maps, videos, social-media content, booking widgets, or other content supplied by third parties. These services may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

10. Spam Prevention and Website Security

Our forms may use built-in anti-spam tools and services such as Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA, or similar technologies.

These services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser characteristics, device information, and interaction data to determine whether a submission is legitimate.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to inquiries
  • Manage reservations and customer relationships
  • Maintain transaction and tax records
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce agreements
  • Meet legal, insurance, accounting, and safety requirements

Information that is no longer required may be deleted, anonymized, or securely archived.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no website, electronic transmission, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid submitting sensitive information that we have not requested.

Do not send complete credit-card numbers, bank-account information, Social Security numbers, passwords, medical records, or other highly sensitive information through our general contact form.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request:

  • Confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you

  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of certain information
  • A copy of information you provided
  • Withdrawal of a consent you previously provided

14. Children’s Privacy

Our fishing charters may be suitable for families and children, but the website and online forms are intended for adults arranging or supervising a charter.

15. External Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or content of those external websites.

We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing personal information.

16. Business Transfers

If The Legend Fishing Adventures is involved in a sale, merger, restructuring, financing, transfer of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our website, services, technology, providers, or legal obligations.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised policy will apply to future interactions.
